There are many beneficial life skills to be learned from a theater camp: Acting and/or Singing Skills - Communication -Creativity -Memorization -Confidence –Teamwork –Problem Solving & Critical Thinking. We incorporate all of these and more into our popular, week-long summer day camp programs.
Parents, relatives, and friends are all invited each Friday at 5:00 pm to enjoy a free showcase performance to display everything their child learned throughout the week.
Four sessions are offered in 2020. Broadway Bound is limited to 18 students; other camps are limited to 25 students so sign up early.
Drop-off is at 8:30am and pick-up at 4:30. Students must be picked up by 4:55 or late fees will apply. EARLY DROP-OFF IS AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. PLEASE SEE REGISTRATION.
June 1–5 – Completed Grades 2–8 – “Broadway Bound” - $275
This camp is designed for students who are interested in singing on stage. The students will work on basic projection and singing skills and will put on a variety show at the end of the week for family and friends. No prior experience necessary.
June 8–12 – Completed Grades 2-8 - Improv - $230
This session emphasizes lots of improvisational games – think “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. Students will laugh their way to a sketch comedy written and performed by the whole group on Friday.
June 15-19 - Completed Grades K-5 – “Elementary Stage” - $230
Note - students who are not yet reading independently may need extra help at home memorizing their scripts.
This session is ideal for students who are interested in theater but have little or no experience. The focus is on having fun. Students will learn what it takes to put on a theatrical performance and will be encouraged to use their creativity to put on a unique showcase for friends and family.
June 22-26 – Completed Grades 3-8 – “Encore Actors” - $230
This session is geared towards slightly older students or those with some performance experience. While the focus is still on fun, the student will learn a bit more about what it takes to put on a play. This camp is for older students who want to learn about all aspects of production: acting, props, costumes, makeup, set building. The Friday performance will truly be their own.
