What is Pay-What-You-Want?
Pay-What-You-Want is exactly what it sounds like. You choose how much you pay for your tickets. You have to pay SOMETHING, but we'll take as little as $1, no pressure, no questions asked! MUSICAL PERFORMANCES WILL HAVE A MINIMUM CONTRIBUTION OF $5!
When can I Pay-What-You-Want?
MCP will clearly publicize PWYW performances when they are available. PWYW pricing is available for MOST of our Thursday preview night performances and many of our Outdoor Arts programming shows.
Do I need a reservation?
Nope! In fact, we won't take them! PWYW performances are always first come, first serve. We'll unlock the front door (or open up the outdoor seating area) one hour before the announced show time. Space is limited so we recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before curtain to get a seat. Our box office will open about 30 minutes before show time. You are welcome to enjoy our concessions and lobby while you wait.
Why do you offer Pay-What-You-Want?
Part of our mission at Mud Creek is to share our love of theater with our community. We want to encourage everyone to experience live theater. It’s about removing the barriers between you and great opportunities to enjoy the performing arts. We also hope you'll enjoy the show and share the news with your friends on social media!
Can I pay with a credit card?
Cash is preferred but see one of our friendly volunteers to make a donation with your credit or debit card.
So how much should I pay?
That is completely up to you! We want you to come and be a great audience member. Our regular performance rates range from $13 to $20. Obviously we are not offering PWYW for our top selling show times, so we don't want or expect you to pay full price. Most people will drop $5 or $10, per person. But it really is totally your call! And we promise not to scoff if you hand us a fist full of quarters!
Can I decide what to pay after I see the show?
You have to pay something to get in, at least a buck. But we will gladly allow you to donate more at intermission or after the show, if you have the cash and you think we've earned it. You can also make a donation via PayPal right HERE:

How can I be sure I'm not paying full price for a PWYW show?
We do not take on-line payments for PWYW performances, so if you are paying on-line, you are definitely not coming to a performance that is eligible for PWYW. You can always check to see if there are any upcoming PWYW opportunities coming up by subscribing to our email list or by contacting us at info@mudcreekplayer.org.
