The Little Prince (1).png

Our version of “The Little Prince” will be a visually stunning and complex retelling of the beloved book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. While the book is typically found in the Young Adult section of a bookstore or library, the story has widespread appeal to all ages and reflects on numerous adult-centric themes: What is truth and what is imaginary? What is lost when we grow from child to adult? What happens when we die? “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

This production will be a joint effort between the Mud Creek Players and a team of young designing artists from The ACT, an MCP youth outreach program for area high school theatre enthusiasts. The youth will also write, direct and produce a short one-act preshow to highlight some of the themes of “The Little Prince” and set the tone for the main attraction.

Auditions will be open for all roles as listed below. It is, however, recommended that actors between the ages of 14 and 18 contact us in advance to learn about The ACT so they may participate fully in both the main show and the preshow.
