WILD  is a One Act adaptation of a beloved children's story that will be created by young artists, to be performed by young artists, produced by young artists, and directed by young artists.

WILD  will be performed as the opening act for the Mud Creek Players production of The Little Prince, June 2nd - 18th, 2022.

All actors cast in WILD will also be invited and encouraged to perform in the ensemble of The Little Prince, alongside our adult cast members. See below for more audition information.

WILD is a production of The ACT - A Mud Creek Players youth outreach initiative that offers FREE opportunities for hands-on, practical theatrical production and performance experience to teens in Indianapolis and the surrounding communities.

Who Can Audition?

The ACT is a program designed specifically for youths, ages from 8th grade to their senior year in high school (13 to 18), who have an interest in the theatre arts. In addition to acting and performing in both the One Act adaptation of WILD and the full-length play adaptation of, The Little Prince (ensemble), all teens cast in the show will be invited to join The ACT members as they participate in the full theatrical experience of staging these artful and whimsical productions. In addition to rehearsals, they will be encouraged to come to the theatre on production dates to build, paint, craft props and set pieces, create costumes, etc. We highly encourage all performers to participate in production work days whenever possible. However, production work (though a great deal of fun) is never mandatory.

We expect students to keep their academic responsibilities, for the remainder of the school year, as their number one priority!

Parents and teens should carefully review the full information packet (see link below). Program permission slips should be signed by parents and brought to the auditions.

How Will I Audition?

Auditions for WILD will consist of reading from the script. Don't worry if you don't already have acting experience. We aren't expecting you to be great if this is your first time! If you have experience, you are welcome to bring a resume but it isn't required. Just come ready to have fun!
