We are looking for energetic, flexible individuals who will be collaborative and enthusiastic while ensuring that the Mud Creek Players’ Barn R.A.T.S. (Really Awesome Theater School) program continues to thrive. Barn RATS is a long standing summer day camp experience for elementary and middle school students. Teachers will participate in developing new approaches to learning in a nurturing environment within an established program framework. Teachers must present themselves as excellent role models for children and possess copious amounts of patience and creativity.

Candidates must be willing and able to meet in advance for UNPAID planning sessions as is needed and reasonable to prepare for the summer with our senior teachers, program administrators and camp counselors.

Requirements: High school diploma or higher; clean personal history with no history of convictions for crimes against children or other sexual offenses; basic computing and internet technology skills.

Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching performance to elementary or middle school students; a background in theatre education; a background in elementary education; demonstrable experience working with youth in an organized environment; reliable transportation; basic first aid and life saving skills knowledge; creative, nurturing and collaborative personality.
