RATS
Dates
are set for the ninth season of Barn RATS, presented by the
Mud Creek Players.
This summer's Barn RATS (Really Awesome Theater School)
will explore sound, movement, music, script writing, auditions skills and improvisation
as participants develop a world premiere performance of their own creation.
Individual self-esteem will blossom as young people learn to tap their
creativity, see a world filled with possibilities, silence the inner
critic, and focus on one goal at a time. Each camp will end with a performance
and celebration of the artist within us all.
Barn Rats will offer four
weeks of summer theater camp. Three of those week are for children ages 7-11. There is also two weeks of summer theater camp for middle school students going into or out of grades 6-8 this fall.
Classes are Monday-Friday,
9 AM to 4 PM, with a performance each Friday afternoon.
Cost
is $195 per week and includes a camp t-shirt, snacks, material, and
the expertise of highly qualified theater professional. All campers
must be able to read and follow directions.
High school students, with an interest in theater volunteer work for one week this summer, can fill out an application. This wonderful opportunity can build up college entrance portfolios or to earn community service hours. For
